SoCo Contracting was founded in 2002 as a second-generation construction family business by Principal Parampal Singh. The company was built on the decades of experience foundation established in the construction industry by Parampal’s father, Manohar Singh, with his firm Paramount Contracting Company. The Singh family has been a part of the Atlanta construction community since the early 1970’s when Manohar Singh came to Atlanta in search of opportunities as a Civil Engineer with $200 to his name. Manohar, through his hard work and dedication, was able to establish Paramount Contracting as a well-known, successful utilities and building construction general contractor.

Growing up working summers in the family business, Parampal, has always had the passion and drive to build on the family legacy and become a part of Atlanta’s construction landscape. Having earned Bachelors (Civil/Environmental Engineering) and Masters of Business Administration (Finance) degrees from Georgia Tech and the Emory Goizueta School of Business, respectively, Parampal was equipped with the tools to build on the foundation established by the elder Singh. Parampal and Manohar Singh, along with their dedicated staff, have seen the growth of the metro Atlanta area over the past several decades.

SoCo Contracting has been a part of that growth with the completion of numerous prominent municipal and Federal construction projects. SoCo Contracting Company has enhanced the family legacy to include our employees and partners whose contributions continue to make the firm the reputable, reliable, financially sound organization it is today.
